This week in class we went over the story El Mundo. I think it is very interesting how the book seems to be broken down and how he uses the same themes throughout the story. He talks of there being no border or distinction between what is real and what is not. He believes it is all connected and there is no need to devide it. He also feels that way with the living and the dead; they are all connected. Another thing I find interesting is the Idea of the neighborhood of the dead. It is very funny how he believed there was a neighborhood for the dead and that you could actually get on the train and go there. He is a very different person indeed.

I agree they are both very interesting nd we should go over it in class a little more. I see what divides the two but sometime s when I am actually reading a story I have trouble picking out if it is naturalismo or realismo. It like I can define the two but when I see them in action the lines et blurred and i have to guess what kind of work I am reading. It's not like seprating a romantic story where things are clear cut and defined in the reading that jump out at you and scream romantisismo.

this week in class
